An eight version of the Android Mobile Operating System is called “Oreo” which was first released on March 21, 2017, as an Alpha quality developer and finally became available for the public on August 21, 2017. Every Android smartphone user knows Android Phones have one problem always – it’s with getting updates. Every user wishes to get an updated version of Android but not many have it just yet. Are you one of those? After almost a year since its launch, some brands have indeed announced a roadmap of their devices. We’ve compiled a list of smartphones that will start getting Android Oreo updates.

Google

Taking a start from Google, an Android-maker has said that Android Oreo will start landing on Google’s Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Nexus Players. Chances are Google may try to leverage Project Treble and continue providing major updates to mention below devices.

Samsung

Samsung has an extensive range of flagships on the market. Taiwanese smartphone brand “HTC” has promised its audience to release major Android OS updates a bit faster. HTC has confirmed several devices that will get Oreo updates but there’s no official confirmation on any of its phones yet. Let’s have a look at devices that are likely to be updated.

However, when it comes to Xiaomi’s Redmi series, they always get one Android OS update regardless of the MIUI version. On the other hand, the MI series get OS updates for a much longer period.
